Terms of Service

Effective June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the monitormypower service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

monitormypower provides a free energy monitoring dashboard for small businesses located in Pennsylvania. The service allows you to track electricity usage and costs, upload and analyze utility bills, monitor contract expiry dates, and receive personalized rate insights based on the Pennsylvania competitive energy market.

The service is provided free of charge to users. monitormypower may earn a commission from energy suppliers if and when a user chooses to switch to a new energy rate through our service. You are never charged directly and are under no obligation to switch suppliers.

2. Broker Disclosure

monitormypower is an independent energy broker registered to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are not a utility company, not a government agency, and not affiliated with any electric distribution company (EDC) or public utility.

As a broker, we work with multiple licensed competitive electricity suppliers to identify potentially favorable rates for your business. Our recommendations are based on publicly available market data and the bill information you provide. We do not guarantee specific rates or that any particular supplier will accept your account.

Any decision to switch energy suppliers is entirely yours. You should review the full terms of any supplier contract before signing.

3. No Guarantee of Savings

The information and analysis provided by monitormypower — including rate comparisons, cost projections, and energy insights — is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or a guarantee of any particular outcome.

Energy prices fluctuate based on market conditions, weather, regulatory changes, and other factors outside our control. Past market rates are not a reliable indicator of future rates. monitormypower makes no representation or warranty that you will save money by using the service or by switching energy suppliers.

You should consult with a qualified energy advisor or attorney before making significant energy procurement decisions.

4. User Responsibilities

By using monitormypower, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information. Submit utility bills and enter account details that accurately reflect your business’s actual energy usage and rate. Inaccurate data will result in inaccurate analysis and may affect any rate comparison we provide.
  • Maintain account security. Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Use the service lawfully. Use monitormypower only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the service on behalf of another business without their authorization.
  • One account per business. Create only one account per business location, unless you have been specifically authorized to create additional accounts.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, monitormypower and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost savings, data loss, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Because the service is provided free of charge, this amount is zero in most cases.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should discontinue use of the service.
